Stopping at intersections with your Mini Pinscher
Early on, I began telling my Min
Pin to “stop” at intersections. He’s always been on a leash, but I felt the
timing of this command would make him further aware of the need to come to a
complete halt on a busy road. We also tried this when crossing the street;
first we would stop; then issue the command. We’ve not reinforced this command
enough, but he does well waiting with us at intersections. That is, unless
there are lots of things to pee on—in which case he might be more concerned
with hitting a target than he should be.
