Special Concerns While Enjoying the Outdoors with Your Miniature Pinscher
Problem barking while walking
Question I have a 16 month old Min
Pin. He barks this really high pitch bark when someone comes up to him. Do you
think there's anyway to train him NOT to do this? Also, we would really like to
give him some freedom to play in the yard, but he wants to run and won't come
back, any suggestions? Your dog may be nervous or feel
threatened by the approaching person.
Consult a dog trainer or enroll in obedience classes to help solve the
barking. When some construction was going
on next door, we had to take down part of our fence and the gate. Our grill was
covered in construction dust so I decided to hose if off. The next thing I
know, Baron has taken off. Luckily he found enough trees to pee on and some
local workers to bark at while doing this, so that I could locate him before he
made it too far away. Unless your yard is fenced, your
dog should not be permitted to roam free.
This is especially true if there is a road nearby, other dogs in the
neighborhood, or young children living close by.
